Perhaps I haven't tried hard enough. I set up my bloglines account, selected a couple of rss feeds to receive and have generally decided I am not a fan. For example, I selected the bbc feed. Too much arrives and it takes longer to plough through it all than I would take if I were to look at their webpage. I know the webpage - know that if I want a specific type of news where it will be and it seems more efficent. Old dog, no new tricks.
I did sign up for a copyright blog ©ollectanea and a digitization blog that I found through Technorati. We'll see. The other rss feeds I signed up for I have already unsubscribed from. Too much stuff, not enough substance. Or the reverse - not enough action. For example, on a non-work related interest I want to be updated on matter re Southern Sudan. The sites with rss feeds had so little action I decided instead to request a news alert from the Reuters site, AlertNet.
