habits - good and needs work

I can't read the attachments on the 7 and 1/2 things podcast. I read that the issue may be the popup blocker, but that is disabled and still no attachments. Possibly an IE 7 issue.

Fortunately my toolkit, aka Tracy, sent me the attachments, so I can answer easiest and hardest.

Easiest - Begin with the end in mind. For the whole 23 things experience I will be looking to see how I can use these tools in my work - to make the history I work with a little less dry and a little more interactive.

Hardest - Use technology to your advantage. Possibly a strange choice for someone who stares at a computer most of the day but I really have to learn to tame my urge to use the computer to wander off in all directions. I see a name in a historic setting, and so want to find all I can about that person, using all of the online possibilities - the census, rootsweb, newspaper archives, online books etc, in case I can find something to add to my own history. I am using technology too much - I need to possibly use it less.
